We tested 22 power supplies for transient response
Modern GPUs spike hard. Most consumer units are not rated for it.
We measured microsecond transients at 200% of rated load. Roughly half the units tripped protection or sagged out of ATX spec.
The good news is that the failures were clean — no damage, just shutdowns.
